Celebrity red carpet arrivals will begin at 6 p.m. EST Sunday and air live on both TNT and TBS as well as the SAG Awards page. The televised show on TNT and TBS begins at 8 p.m. Check your local cable listings for channel information or watch an online live stream at Daily Motion.
Presented by the labor union Screen Actors Guild, the SAG Awards first aired in 1995 to honor the best of acting in film and television in Hollywood. As the “only televised awards shows to exclusively honor performers,” the SAG Awards boast a “fast moving two hour show” that critics said often times predicts the winners of the Academy Awards (Oscars). Nominees are selected by a team of 4,200 SAG members chosen at random but the entire union chooses who wins a SAG statuette called “The Actor,” a nude male figure that holds comedy and tragedy masks.
