Miss USA wins Miss Universe 2012 , Miss Philippines takes first runner-up , Out of the 89 candidates around the world, 20-year-old cellist Miss USA Olivia Culpo took the crown as this year’s Miss Universe during the coronation night held in Las Vegas on Wednesday, December 20.

 Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, the only Asian candidate who made it to the Top 10, was named first runner-up. Wearing a powder blue gown by Alfredo Barraza, Janine answered fashion photographer judge Nigel Barker Twitter question during the Q & A portion.

When asked if speaking English should be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe as an interna
tional ambassador, Janine confidently said, “For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language.

 Miss Universe 2012 Online  , is the most trending awaiting events through net and through television .  Sixteen finalists were chosen this weekend from among the 89 beauty queens competing in the 2012 Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas.

Who are they? That remains a secret until the pageant begins Wednesday night. It is being broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo.

Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic will host the show. 1.       Miss Georgia, Tamar Shedania


Tamar, born in 1992, has spent time as a professional model before winning the Miss Georgia 2012 title. Her blonde hair, slender figure, and blue eyes strike the look of a high-fashion beauty queen. Fans seem to agree since Tamar gained some of the highest votes in online Miss Universe polls.


2.       Miss USA, Olivia Culpo


21-year-old Olivia Culpo from Rhode Island is one of the early favorites, not only because she's from the host country, but also because of her subtle looks and finesse that makes her rise above the rest.


3.       Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon


Janine nabbed the most Facebook votes and is declared the fan favorite, even before she swept the preliminary competitions for the pageant. Her looks define the natural beauty and grace of a Filipina, and it's no surprise why everyone seem to be excited for this candidate.


4.       Miss Australia, Renae Ayris


Raised in Perth, the blonde bombshell is making her country proud by becoming one of the top contenders in the said pageant.
